Kayaking Near a Truss Bridge 16 x 20

Categorized in ,

This is a print on watercolor paper of an original painting by Carol Skinger. Paper Size is 13″ X 17″.  Image area is 12″ x 16″ leaving  1/2″ border around the image. A 16″ x 20″ would be a nice frame size allowing a  2″ mat.

What can you see in this painting? When I painted it I called it Rustbelt Kayaking as I live in Pittsburgh, PA. The Brilliant Railroad Bridge spanning the Allegheny River is a truss bridge. Truss bridges became a common type of bridge in the United states built most frequently from the 1870’s through the 1930’s.

The original painting was sold in summer 2017.
